Holistic Coaching

Coaching is for all regular customers who are affiliated with yoga or music classes and is free. After our first coaching session you will get access to the members area.

For a complete approach to health we have to use a holistic approach. Different layers of a person will have to be looked at and also how they relate to each other. A healthy person will have to pay attention to the body, mind and soul, to nourish or connect with it. To remain healthy, a preventive approach is absolutely necessary. Becoming aware of your own patterns and possible addictions will be the first step. Accepting these patterns for what they are in the present and observing them, is usually enough to start transforming in an authentic way. Not because someone from the outside forces it on you, but because it originates from your higher Self by the power of observation. This will give a solid and safe base to grow on.

We will look at your talents and strength and work from this as a base. The coaching is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle through short as well as long term goals, using knowledge, exercises and techniques of the Yoga tradition.

COACHING BASICS

Looking for a comprehensive approach to personal growth and a balanced lifestyle? Coaching Preparatory has got you covered! Our program offers a unique approach to self-improvement, encompassing 5 crucial areas that are essential for a fulfilling and harmonious life.

  1. Meditation: Meditation is a scientifically proven way to reduce stress and improve focus and attention. By sitting still and focusing on your breath, you can calm your mind and bring a sense of inner peace. Regular meditation has physical benefits, such as reducing blood pressure and improving cardiovascular health.

  2. Asanas: Asanas, or yoga postures, are an important part of the physical practice of yoga. They not only improve strength, flexibility, and balance, but also calm the mind and reduce stress. Regular practice of Asanas has been shown to help with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.

  3. Pranayama: Pranayama, or breathing exercises, is a powerful tool for regulating your breath and calming the mind. By controlling your breath, you can improve your lung capacity, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve sleep quality, boost immunity, and increase energy levels.

  4. Spiritual Study: Spiritual Study involves learning about the teachings of ancient wisdom traditions, such as yoga, and how to apply these teachings to your daily life. By gaining a deeper understanding of your true nature and purpose, you can cultivate a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

  5. Selfless Service: Selfless Service involves giving back to others and making a positive impact in the world. This can take many forms, from volunteering in your local community to simply being kind and helpful to those around you. Selfless Service has been shown to increase happiness, reduce stress, and contribute to a sense of purpose and meaning.

All of these practices are interrelated and work together to create a harmonious balance in your life. They can also be linked to the five koshas, or sheaths, of the human body and consciousness. The koshas are the physical, energetic, mental, intellectual, and blissful sheaths, and by practicing Meditation, Asanas, Pranayama, Spiritual Study, and Selfless Service, you can improve the health and well-being of each of these sheaths.

7 topics we will practice to develop and maintain character:

  1. Self-Analysis: To develop character and make positive changes in your life, it is important to start with self-awareness. Keeping a spiritual diary or maintaining a daily routine can help you reflect on your thoughts, emotions and actions. You can also set positive intentions for yourself by making a "Sankalp" or resolve-form.

  2. Minimizing Useless Company: Surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people is important for your personal growth. Avoid spending time with individuals who bring negativity into your life and instead, seek the company of those who uplift you.

  3. Awareness of the Indriya (Sense): Identifying the senses that are causing you the most trouble is crucial in developing self-control. Whether it is the sense of sight, hearing, touch, taste or smell, it is important to become aware of how these senses affect you and take steps to minimize their impact.

  4. Development of Virtues: Building virtuous habits is essential for personal growth and character development. Start by practicing Brahmacharya** (self-restraint), discipline of speech**, contentment**, love**, and self-reliance**. These practices will lay a foundation for developing other virtuous habits such as honesty, kindness, and compassion.

  5. Eradication of Vices: Bad habits such as smoking, eating meat, drinking alcohol, lying, and anger can negatively impact your character and well-being. By identifying and eliminating these vices, you will not only improve your character but also improve your overall health and happiness.

  6. Do your Dharma (Duty): Understanding and fulfilling your duties and responsibilities in life is an important aspect of character development. This includes not only your duties to others but also to yourself and the world around you.

  7. Surrender to God/the Divine/the Essence: By surrendering to a higher power, you can find peace and happiness. Whether it is through prayer, meditation, or simply connecting with nature, surrendering to something greater than yourself can help you find meaning and purpose in life, which are key components of character development.

**) VIRTUES TO START WITH:

"Brahmacharya:
Preserve the vital force (Veerya (seminal energy)) very, very carefully. Veerya is God in motion or manifestation (Vibhuti). Veerya is all power. Veerya is all money. Veerya is the essence of life, thought and intelligence. This instruction is not for bachelors only. Householders also must follow it as far as possible. They must be extremely moderate in their marital connections with their spouse. This is very important.

Discipline of speech:
Speak the truth at all cost. Speak a little. Speak sweetly. Always utter encouraging words. Never condemn, criticize or discourage. Do not raise your voice and shout at little children or subordinates.

Contentment:
Reduce your wants. If you have four shirts, reduce the number to three or two. Lead a happy, contented life. Avoid unnecessary worry. Be mentally detached. Have plain living and high thinking. Think of those who do not possess even one-tenth of what you have. Share with others.

(Practise) Love:
Never hurt anybody. Ahimsa Paramo Dharmah (Non-injury is the highest virtue). Control anger by love, Kshama (forgiveness) and Daya (compassion). Serve the sick and the poor with love and affection. This is service of God.

Be self reliant:
Do not depend upon servants. Self-reliance is the highest of all virtues."
